Prostitution Ring Nets Arrests: Police

Two men accused of operating a prostitution ring were arrested Friday following a year-long investigation, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Police charged two men with two counts of felony receiving money from earnings of female prostitution and two misdemeanor counts of using vehicles to promote prostitution.

Part Of Red Line To Be Shut Down For A Month And A Half

SafeTrack may be long over with, but the line shutdowns are not. The Red Line will be completely shut down between the NoMa-Gallaudet and Fort Totten stations for a month and a half starting later this month.

DC May Ban Plastic Straws: Report

The District could become the latest city to ban plastic straws over concerns about their environmental impact, according to a report. Multiple U.S. cities have banned plastic straws, including Seattle, which just had a ban take effect on July 1.

A federal judge in Alexandria ordered Paul Manafort to be moved to the Alexandria jail ahead of his July 25 trial. Manafort, the former campaign manager for President Trump, has been jailed at Northern Neck Regional Jail since a judge denied bail.
