  1. In an update following a Monday night shooting in Tuscaloosa's West End, the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit says a man is dead and issues of self-defense have been raised after a suspect was taken into custody.
  2. The Northport Police Department says one person was injured in a shooting Monday afternoon in the 200 block of 30th Avenue. No word has been given as to any potential suspects, but the shooting was believed to have occurred during an attempted robbery and it remains unclear if it is in any way related to the fatal shooting in Tuscaloosa Monday night.
