An Oakland man wanted in the April killing of his nephew was arrested on Thanksgiving after eight months on the run, according to reports.
The suspect may have been posing as a federal agent, police said.
ICE agents were last seen near the intersection of 31st and Market streets, according to Oakland Unified School District officials.
The defendant shot the beloved football coach on Thursday, prosecutors said. Beam died the next day.
Two suspects, both minors, were detained in connection with the shooting, police said.
