Fremont Teacher Arrested for Alleged Sexual Misconduct With Student
The victim is a juvenile male. Police are asking the public for more information from potential witnesses.

FREMONT, CA — A Washington High School teacher has been arrested on charges of unlawful sexual acts with a minor. Corine Audiat was taken into custody on Nov. 24. Her arrest was announced on Thursday.
Audiat, 32, is a Fremont resident. She is a Physical Education teacher.
Fremont Police began investigating this case on Nov. 23. According to police, "During the investigation, detectives learned the suspect and victim began communicating in early 2016. Over the course of a several months, the conversations became more inappropriate and they eventually engaged in unlawful sexual intercourse."

Audiat was booked at Santa Rita Jail. On November 30, 2016, additional charges were filed on Audiat by the Alameda County District Attorney at the Fremont Superior Courthouse.

Fremont police add, "This case is a very unfortunate situation for our community. Due to the age of the victim and the nature of the investigation, no information regarding the victim’s identity will be released. The victim is a minor and we ask the public (friends, school faculty and community members) as well as the press and media, that his identity remain confidential."
