'National survival': How American jobs are sold to the highest bidder through the immigration industrial complex

Jobs shipped overseas while U.S. workers are told to 'learn to code'

For years, American workers have been told they just need to "learn to code," "work harder," or "accept the realities of globalization." Meanwhile, their jobs have been quietly shipped overseas or handed to an army of imported workers on visas about which most Americans have never even heard.

This is not just a case of bad trade deals or automation replacing human workers. It is something much bigger, more coordinated, and, frankly, more infuriating. This is the Immigration Industrial Complex, a system where corporate America, immigration law firms, and lobbying groups work together to ensure a never-ending supply of cheap labor, all while American workers are pushed aside.

If you are wondering why wages have been stagnant for decades, why manufacturing has collapsed, or why tech companies keep firing Americans while bringing in thousands of foreign workers, you are not alone. The answer lies in a massive web of policies, visas, and outsourcing contracts that prioritize profits over people.

Let's break it down.

Step One: Ship jobs overseas and call It 'Efficiency'

Since 2001, nearly four million American jobs have vanished thanks to our ever-growing trade deficit with China. At the same time, India has become the go-to destination for outsourcing white-collar jobs in tech, finance, and customer service.

Here are the facts:

  • Three hundred thousand American jobs are offshored every year.
  • Sixty-six percent of U.S. companies outsource at least one department.
  • The IT outsourcing industry alone is expected to reach over eight hundred billion dollars by 2029.

It is a well-oiled machine. First, big corporations move jobs to low-wage countries where labor laws are almost non-existent. Then, they pass the savings to shareholders while leaving former American employees with a "we appreciate your contributions" severance email.

But wait, it gets worse.

Step Two: Import workers to undercut American wages

For the jobs that cannot be outsourced, companies have found a workaround: import the workers instead. This is where the Immigration Industrial Complex swings into full gear.

Through visa programs like H-1B, L-1, OPT, and the lesser-known PERM process, companies can legally skip over qualified American workers and bring in foreign replacements who will work for less.

In 2022, out of the thirty million immigrant workers in the U.S., over twenty-two million were here legally. That means nearly three-quarters of foreign workers are brought in "by the book," not by sneaking across the border, but through an immigration system that actively prioritizes them over Americans.

And if you thought this flood of foreign workers was slowing down, think again. Between seventy-five and eighty percent of America's annual population growth comes from immigrants and their U.S.-born children.

"In other words, even if illegal immigration ended tomorrow, corporate America would still have an endless pipeline of foreign labor to keep wages down and job opportunities scarce.

Step Three: The legal loophole nobody talks about

Let's talk about PERM, the employment-based green card process that has turned into a legalized job-theft operation.

Here's how it works:

A company "advertises" a job that they already intend to give to a foreign worker. The job listing is designed to eliminate qualified American applicants, sometimes requiring skills that were not even in the original job posting.

When Americans inevitably "fail" the hiring process, the company submits paperwork to the Department of Labor saying, "See? We tried to hire an American, but none was available!"
The foreign worker gets a green card, and the company locks in a cheaper, more compliant employee for years.

This is not a conspiracy theory. This is federal law, and it happens every single day in companies across the country.

Step Four: Corporate America collects the payout

Why do companies do this? Simple. It is all about the money.

A CEO is not rewarded for loyalty to American workers. He is rewarded for maximizing shareholder profits. And if that means firing thousands of citizens and replacing them with cheap offshore labor or imported workers, so be it.

Take eBay, for example. While slashing jobs in the U.S., CEO Jaime Iannone saw his pay jump from $16 million to $21 million. Might I add eBay acknowledges on their Immigration forms they are H-1B dependent.

Or look at Salesforce. They fired thousands of American workers while expanding operations in India over 400% and increasing their sponsorship of H-1B visas.

This is not "free market" capitalism. This is corporate feudalism, where companies hold all the power and American workers are nothing more than disposable assets.

Step Five: The government and lobbyists keep it running

If you are wondering why nothing is being done to stop this, it is because the system is rigged against you.

Tech companies and multinational corporations spend hundreds of millions of dollars every year lobbying Congress to keep these visa programs alive.

Meanwhile, immigration law firms, many of which advertise ways to bypass American workers, make billions of dollars helping corporations navigate the loopholes.

And do not forget the universities. Schools rake in massive profits from foreign students who come to the U.S. under the F-1 visa, then transition into the workforce through the Optional Practical Training (OPT) program, a process that actively allows companies to avoid payroll taxes when hiring foreign grads over Americans.

The Immigration Industrial Complex is a business. And business is booming.

What can be done?

The American people are not powerless. There are real solutions that can stop this madness, but it requires action.

The fight for the American worker

This is not about politics. This is about national survival.

American workers are being replaced, displaced, and ignored. If we continue down this path, the middle class will become extinct, wages will remain stagnant, and the American Dream will become nothing more than a fairy tale for future generations.

The Immigration Industrial Complex does not care about fairness. It does not care about families struggling to make ends meet. It only cares about profit and control.

But we still have a choice.

We can fight back, demand reforms, and put American workers first.

Or we can stand by and watch as the last good-paying jobs in this country are sold off to the highest bidder.

The choice is ours.

Among the comments posted on the WND article above was the following.

"Goatroper" said this.

This article ONLY gives part of the story!

"IMHO our Public Indoctrination System has worked VERY hard dumbing down our Children who have grown up unable to compete with Foreign Workers. I know for a fact that in South Korea the kids spend many hours in school and have hours of homework EVERY night! The kids there have to spend a LOT of time to be able to achieve good grades!

The kids in USA get nothing but BS in class and then come home to play video games! ..."

George_S posted this remark.

"This is one of the most concise articles I’ve seen, explaining the scam against American workers. I’ve been in IT for 37 years and this has been going on for my entire career."

Dinnys posted this remark.

"As a one time employer this article is garbage and so wrong. What I was faced with is the mafia style unions that made my life a living hell. These unions shut down my plant with strikes just to extort almost all of my profits into their pockets. Then comes the Democrat politicians demanding my hard earned money for their "campaigns" or they would pass legislation that would hurt my business.

America is so completely corrupt that moving my manufacturing to China was like was vacation and a breath of fresh air. I will not even get into the absolute criminals at the FDA and public health departments. It is almost impossible to have a business in America anymore."

There were others, but let's share just one more, this from "patgael" who said this.

"Before BellSouth was re-absorbed into AT&T, they shipped a lot of jobs overseas and brought in workers from India. Then they outsourced the entire IT department because there was the highest concentration of workers over 40. They "sold" them to Ross Perot's company, which then sold them to IBM, and then to HP. Because the company execs were able to buyout the workers and get them off the pension rolls, they could take money from the pension fund, worth $14 billion at that time, and transfer it to the company's earnings which upped the bonuses due to the executives. The workers kept their salaries but had to work for another company and then another and another before they reached retirement age. In the meantime, new hires were coming in the front door to take available jobs at BellSouth. These workers, for the most part, were career workers that started right out of high school or college and had been loyal to the company. During the outsource process, a VP in Florida was asked about loyalty and he said if he wanted loyalty he'd get a dog. There's the real problem. Greed and an attitude against workers from top executives."

While some will be sympathetic to what Dinnys said, a closer look at his remark just reveals another dark side of what has been going wrong and how the system has been 'rigged.' Billionaire Warren Buffett chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, which in turn owns companies like Clayton Homes, 21st Mortgage Corporation, and Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance (VMF), made the argument a few years ago saying that displaced employees were "road kill" that needed to be taken care of by the federal government. But Buffett-led Berkshire also invested in China, as have several Democratic-leaning billionaires over the years.

It is not clear who or what ALB is in the WND by-line. ALB may be a pen name, an acronym, an organization, or whatever. While the article by ALB could be refined and could link evidence, it does make several useful points that MHProNews, as the article linked above and others on our site indicate, has been spotlighting issues related to illegal immigration and abuses of the visa programs for years. It should be apparent that shipping American jobs off to China, or perhaps to a lesser extent to other nations, results in more taxpayer costs and more harm to American citizens.

While the Biden-Harris (D) era kept many of the Trump 1.0 tariffs in place, there were so many contradictory steps and signals during the prior four years that cost our nation sums that total into the trillions of dollars.

Buffett and the now late Berkshire vice-chair Charlie Munger seemed at times to praise China while criticizing the U.S.

This series on this Patch as well as numerous articles on MHLivingNews and MHProNews have looked at the problem of the so-called "Rigged System." As a political independent, it would be too much to say that only Democrats rigged the system, some Republicans have too. But it ought to be emphasized that often times some of the very Democrats who claim that the system is rigged have benefited from that rigged system.

If you did a poll of most Americans, how many do you think would vote to lose their freedom and become a serf or slave? That's what this growing threat of the new feudalism means.
