Queen’s Death, Rare Orange Lobsters, Oyster Shell Reef: FL News
First Black man lynched in Tampa honored, deputy mayor position eliminated in St. Pete, Miami-Dade School Board rejects LGBTQ History Month.

FLORIDA — A lot has happened in the Sunshine State over the past week. St. Pete’s mayor eliminated the city’s deputy mayor position following bullying allegations. Tampa Bay area officials, business owners and residents mourned Queen Elizabeth’s death. Two rare orange lobsters found in Pasco County are heading for the Clearwater Marine Aquarium.
Meanwhile, the first Black man lynched in Tampa – who was proven innocent of a rape charge – was honored by a historical marker. And the Miami-Dade County School Board rejected recognizing LGBTQ History Month in October – which it’s previously honored.
