'Extremely Active' 2017 Hurricane Season: Updated Georgia Forecast
Brace yourselves Georgians. With the peak of the 2017 Atlantic hurricane season just days away from starting, forecasters at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration have upped their predictions for an above-normal number of storms. Back in May, NOAA forecast a 45 percent chance of an above-normal season. On Wednesday, that number rose to a 60 percent chance.
East Atlanta Gym's Unapologetic Sign: 'No Cops'
An East Atlanta gym is punching way above its weight in attention after its owner posted a sign on the front door that used an expletive in banning law enforcement. EAV Barbell Club on Flat Shoals Avenue on the city's southeast side had a sign that said "No [expletive] Cops" until owner Jim Chambers took it down. But Chamber said that the sign is going back up.
