Update: Reward for Silver Comet Trail Attacker Grows to $20,000

The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office says around $10,000 has already been deposited in the reward fund to find the person who brutally attacked Tina Waddell on the Silver Comet Trail last week.

Sheriff Gary Gulledge set up the Tina Waddell Reward Fund this week at the Bank of North Georgia branch in Hiram for information leading to an arrest and prosecution in the case.

Waddell was attacked on July 29 on the trail near the Vernot Aiken bridge. She was reportedly dragged into the woods and brutally beaten. She suffered several facial injuries that will require her to have her jaw wired shut for four to six weeks.

No arrests have been made in the case.
