Dayjon Moore was found dead Feb. 5 in a Duralee Lane hotel.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — The 19-year-old man whose body was found in a Duralee Lane Hotel was described as a loving person and a favorite in his family.
Dayjon Moore was found dead Feb. 5, and three people have been arrested in connection with his death, police said at the time. Officers were investigating a fight at the hotel when Moore was found, police said.
Moore's mother, Kimisha, started a GoFundMe to cover funeral costs. The family is aiming to raise $10,000.

"It’s very hard because he was like the favorite," Whitfield said. "He was everything. It’s hard with him not being around. It’s hard on us. We don’t know what’s next steps."
She said Moore was intelligent and teachers always complimented him in school. He loved to joke, play basketball and was a passionate, loving person.
"He loved his family more than anything," Whitfield said. "He was more of a protector. He was everything to his mom. He was the head of his household. He was my favorite nephew."
The day before he died, Moore was offered a job, she said. He had just moved back to Douglasville days before his death, she said.
On the GoFundMe page, Moore is remembered as a caring young man who "will never experience fatherhood, adulthood (or) getting married."
Whitfield said the family recently buried another one of her nephews and could use the financial assistance with Moore's funeral.
