A Crownsville pizza shop owner traded gunshots with robbers as they fled his business, according to Anne Arundel County Police. The robbery and gunfire happened at Milano Pizza, 1021 Generals Highway in Crownsville.

Maryland's first Steak 'n Shake was up for auction recently, just two years after it first opened in Millersville. The restaurant's owner defaulted on a $3.2 million loan and the auction was set for June 30 at the Anne Arundel County Courthouse. The Millersville location opened June 22, 2015 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
After fears from some residents and beach-goers that topless women would flock to its sandy shores, the Ocean City Council passed an emergency measure Saturday, June 10, to ban public nudity. The move came after word that the beach patrol in Ocean City would disregard women who are sunbathing topless circulated across social media.
