2016 is almost in the books and needless to say, the year had some notable stories.

From a fatal stabbing, to new restaurants, and a surprising charge aimed at a school official, there were plenty of headlines in 2016.

In September, the selectmen gave the restaurant the go ahead to serve chicken sandwiches and waffle fries. Building construction is expected to take six to eight months.

In February, Boston and Dedham crews battled a two-alarm house fire on Bridge Street that left six people displaced.
