The new car wash opened earlier this week, with a formal ceremony scheduled for next month.

MEDFORD, MA — A local car wash chain has opened its newest location in Medford.

ScrubaDub Medford has opened at 2 Fulbright St. in the vicinity of Interstate Route 93 and Mystic Avenue. According to the company, the new facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art flat conveyor wash belt, free vacuums for members, free interior cleaning supplies, and a variety of membership options.

While the car wash is open for business as of Sunday, Feb. 22, a “hard launch” formal ribbon-cutting ceremony and event is scheduled for Monday, March 23. The event that is open to the community will reportedly include multiple giveaways and promotional events for attendees. Interested parties can currently join ScrubaDub’s “Unlimited Wash Club” at the new Medford location for a first-month fee of $5 as part of its Grand Opening Special, as opposed to the regular rates that are typically more than $20. The Medford spot will have free vacuums available for those who become members.

ScrubaDub is now a third-generation family business founded in 1966 by Marshall and Elaine Paisner. Its first location opened in Watertown. 60 years later, the business has expanded to other New England states such as New Hampshire, Maine, and Rhode Island with more than 20 locations overall. However, its presence remains the strongest in Massachusetts. Marshall Paisner’s sons took over the company from their father, and now the founder’s grandchildren such as Matthew Paisner are involved in the fold. Matthew Paisner said on behalf of the business that they are excited to establish a presence in Medford for years to come.
