Bryce M. Lewis-Hamel, born 1988, of Concord was cited for a bench warrant at 9:33 a.m. on Aug. 14 after an incident on South Commercial Street.
Sheena Marie Aiken-Goyette, 40, of Mountain Road in Concord was arrested at 8:51 a.m. on Aug. 11 on a felony theft lost-mislaid property, between $1,001 and $1,500, charge. On Jan. 19, a woman called police to report a wallet stolen from Aldi on Loudon Road. The woman, the officer wrote, left her wallet in a shopping cart by accident and left the store. Later, another person took the shopping cart, began shopping, and appeared to leave with the wallet, a report said. The officer said, during the investigation, that the person who took the wallet appeared to be fulfilling an Instacart order, valued at around $79.56, and then left in a Chrysler PT Cruiser. In mid-March, a detective took up the case, applied for a search warrant, and found the Instacart account connected to a Mountain Road resident with a PT Cruiser. The email connected to the account, however, was owned by Aiken-Goyette, the affidavit said. She was also listed at the address, the detective wrote. A driver’s license photo was eyed along with surveillance video, with the detective noting the woman was heavy-set, but they could not make a positive ID, the report said, due to poor quality. After calling her, on June 22, Aiken-Goyette agreed to meet with the detective and confirmed she used Instacart belonging to the man in the past and that she shopped at Aldi, an affidavit stated. When asked if the surveillance footage of her at the time of the wallet being stolen was her, she stated, “probably,” the report said. “I then asked Sheena about a missing wallet,” the detective wrote. “Sheena immediately seemed to know what I was referring to.” It ended up under her wallet and she forgot about it, the detective said. Aiken-Goyette said she found the wallet in another cart and intended to turn it in to police, the affidavit said. The detective accused Aiken-Goyette of failing to notify police and Aldi staff about the wallet and denying any intentions of stealing the wallet. The detective said she offered to get the wallet from her SUV and gave it to detectives, the report said. “Sheena denied removing any items from the wallet and asserted it was her intention to turn it in to the police,” he wrote. The victim told the detective there was a $100 dollar bill in the wallet, but the detective only located $9, the report said. There were also several credit cards in the wallet. The detective said, per statute, each one was valued at $250, making the charge against Aiken-Goyette a felony. A warrant was then issued for her arrest.
