Concord Cops Seize 1.85 Pounds Of Meth, Other Drugs During Hotel Bust

Jeremy Fortin and Tiffany Labonte, both of Concord, were arrested Wednesday accused of dealing methamphetamine, pills, suboxone, and crack.

CONCORD, NH — Police seized several drugs from a hotel in Concord two weeks ago and issued charges against two residents as a result of the Granite Shield initiative.

Jeremy Fortin, 40, and Tiffany Labonte, 31, were both arrested on possession of a controlled drug with intent to sell, possession of a controlled drug, common nuisances, and interference with a fire alarm apparatus charges, all felonies. The charges were levied against them after detectives and officers seized 838 grams or 1.85 pounds of methamphetamine, 72 suboxone strips, several grams of crack cocaine, and prescription pills from a hotel room on North Main Street on June 16.

The Holiday Inn is the only hotel located on North Main Street in the city. Specific information about the false alarm charge was not available at post time.

Fortin and Labonte were arrested and refused bail on Wednesday. They were held in the Merrimack County Jail and were expected in court on Thursday.

According to superior court records, Fortin is no stranger to police in Boscawen, Concord, and Weare.

Fortin has an active burglary case from July 2021 in Weare, which was expected to go to trial in November. He was scheduled for a plea and sentencing hearing on two controlled drug: acts prohibited charges out of Concord from December 2019 and a single count from May 2021 out of Concord. He also faces controlled drug: acts prohibited, felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, receiving stolen property, and other charges out of Boscawen from February 2020. Fortin also has an active felony theft charge out of Boscawen from January 2020.

Labonte, according to posts on Patch, is also no stranger to police, having been arrested on several theft and driving charges.
