Concord Crimeline Posts $5K Reward In Retired Couple Shootings Case
About 130 tips have been submitted to investigators about the killings of Stephen and Djeswende Reid; AG asks for April 18 dashcam footage.

CONCORD, NH — The Concord Regional Crimeline is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or suspects involved in the deaths of a retired Concord couple on a trail on April 18.
The reward was posted Thursday, two weeks after the bodies of Stephen and Djeswende Reid were found on the Marsh Loop Trail off Portsmouth Street in Concord. The couple left their Alton Woods apartment around 2:30 p.m. to take a walk on the Broken Ground Trail system. They were reported missing two days later. Their bodies were found the next day.
Investigators on Thursday asked anyone in the community who may have dashcam footage while driving on Loudon Road or Portsmouth Street on April 18 to contact the police. Also, anyone who was hiking or biking on that trail system on Sunday, April 17, Monday, April 18, or Tuesday, April 19, is also asked to contact the police.

Michael Garrity, the director of communications for the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, investigators have received more than 130 tips about the killings with police following up on each one as well as every aspect of the case.
“It is crucial that any person who has any information regarding these murders report to the police what information is known to them, no matter how inconsequential the person believes the information may be,” he said. “Importantly, anonymous tips submitted through the Crimeline website allow for the Concord Police to respond to whomever provided the tip after the tip is submitted. That response is done through the Crimeline website.”

Police, Garrity added, have responded to a number of the tips received asking for additional information or clarification. Anyone who has posted a tip so far is asked to return to the Crimeline website and click the “review-update tip” section to see if police have asked for additional information concerning the tip.
After the bodies of the Reids were found two weeks ago, police spent about 48 hours collecting evidence from the trails. Investigators returned to bring civilians up to show them the area but have not been seen back since. Detectives and FBI agents were in the western part of the neighborhood earlier this week canvassing as much as 2 miles from the crime scene. Police have also beefed up patrols on the city's trail system and in recreation areas while also leaning on partners such as the Merrimack County Sheriff’s Department and New Hampshire Fish & Game for assistance in recent days.
