Concord Police Log: Alleged Penacook Drug Dealer Arrested
Plus, escaped convict faces more charges; teens face alcohol charges on Joffre Street.

Kassandra L. Starkey, 24, of Canal Street in Penacook, was arrested at 1:50 p.m. on Nov. 6, on three felony sale of controlled drugs charges from June 26, July 2, and July 24, in Penacook.
Christine May Erickson, 26, of North Spring Street in Concord, was arrested at 4:19 p.m. on Nov. 8, on two counts of simple assault and a criminal mischief charge. Also receiving a summons for simple assault was Tammy Erickson of South Spring Street in Concord. The two were charged after a family argument on North Spring Street.
Stephanie Joyce Dupont, 30, of North State Street in Concord, was arrested at 1:15 p.m. on Nov. 9, on a felony theft by unauthorized taking from the Walmart on Loudon Road. Police were called to the store for a shoplifter who later fled to the Ruby Tuesday across the street. Police were able to catch up to the woman, later identified as Dupont, who had allegedly stole $225 worth of toys, women’s underwear, and cosmetics. Since she had two previous convictions, the charge was elevated to a felony. She was held on $1,500 cash bail.

Kalli Sargent, 17, of Chesley Street in Concord, received a summons at 12:43 a.m. on Nov. 11, for unlawful possession of alcohol. Police were sent to Joffre Street for a report of a burglary in progress. A resident stated that she saw people with flashlights in a home across the street. The officers checked the area and went to the home after seeing a television on. No one answered the door but two teens were later stopped trying to flee the area. Sargent, came out of the house and was charged after officers allegedly noticed she smelled like alcohol and was underage.
Linda R. Banfill, 70, of Palm Street in Concord, was arrested at 7:40 p.m. on Nov. 11, for felony criminal mischief from Oct. 17, on Park Street, against the city of Concord parking division. She’s due in court on Dec. 29.

Kayla Joanne Fife, 23, of Ray Road in Henniker, was arrested at 11:35 a.m. on Nov. 12, on a simple assault charge from Sept. 16, on Christian Avenue.
Herbert N. Thibeault, 50, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 3 p.m. on Nov. 12, on three bench warrants for breach of bail and criminal trespass charges.
Punithavathy Goplan, 43, of Kessler Farm Road in Nashua, was arrested at noon on Nov. 13, on a conduct after an accident charge from Oct. 30, at the Healthsouth Rehabilitation Center on Pleasant Street in Concord, reportedly involving a crash between a Honda Civic and Toyota Camry. She’s due in court on Dec. 29.
Rocco Vincent Sfara, 39, of Perley Street in Concord, was arrested at 12:50 a.m. on Oct. 29, and charged with simple assault and criminal threatening (intimidation). According to an arrest report and court affidavit, police were called to South Main Street for a past tense domestic incident. Officers spoke to a woman who alleged that her ex-boyfriend, Sfara, allegedly “grabbed her head and began bouncing her head off the arm of the couch, multiple times.” She fled from the apartment and called police. According to the affidavit, Sfara reportedly smashed her phone several weeks before. The two were no longer in a relationship but were continuing to live in the same apartment, she noted. The argument, according to her allegations, was about how much coffee he was making which escalated into the alleged assault. She also alleged that the previous day, he allegedly threatened to “slice her throat” and if he gets sent to jail again, when Sfara got out, “she would never see her kids again.” The officer noted that there had been “multiple calls for service” to the apartment since mid-August.
Travis Michael Vachon, 27, of Gilford Avenue in Laconia, was arrested at 4:25 a.m. on Oct. 13, on loitering, felony possession of controlled drugs, and default or breach of bail conditions charges. According to a court affidavit, he was arrested on Fisherville Road while allegedly sleeping in the laundry room of an apartment building. Police allege that Vachon had a pocket knife, hypodermic needles, as well as cotton swabs and a spoon with heroin residue on them.
Eric J. Porter Jr., 25, of Depot Road in Epping, was arrested at 11:20 a.m. on Sept. 8, for felony counts of forgery and theft by deception from August 2013. According to a court affidavit, Porter and accomplices allegedly cashed more than $35,000 worth of fraudulent checks at Centrix Bank locations in Concord, Bedford, and Manchester, against a Hooksett company. Porter was in the Rockingham County Jail at the time of his arrest. Phillip Bailey, a homeless man in Concord, was previously arrested in connection with the case; Regino Cabrera, who was being detained by ICE in Manchester, was also questioned about the case.
Chad William Lawlor, 40, of North State Street in Concord, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 7, on a felony burglary charge from April 11, on Lakeview Drive. According to a court affidavit, officers were called to the home for a suspicious person in the driveway. Police approached the suspect and later learned that he was Lawlor, an escaped convict, and attempted to take him into custody. Lawlor allegedly pulled a knife on the officers but they were able to get control of him, according to the report. Officers later learned that Lawlor was allegedly hiding in a camper on the property. During the course of later investigations, they allegedly connected Lawlor to the camper by a jar of urine. The knife that he allegedly pulled on the officers was stolen from the camper so a burglary charge was filed against him.
Ryan Sherman, 31, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested a noon on Nov. 7, on three felony receiving stolen property charges from Sept. 27. The incidents reportedly occurred on the Contoocook River Park Trails off Electric Avenue. The victim in the case was O.E. Trucking of Bradford. He was held without bail. According to a court document, police were called to the Island Shores development for a report of Sherman “shooting up” in a white vehicle. When police arrived, two people fled the area. They caught up with one, a woman, Taylor Batchelder, who was questioned at the scene. Police reportedly found syringes and a backpack in the vehicle that she said belonged to Sherman, according to police. Batchelder was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Police applied for a search warrant later for the vehicle and allegedly found four state inspection books with stickers that were stolen from the Bradford business in September and a silver bracelet. In an interview later, Sherman allegedly admitted to trading $100 of heroin for the stickers. According to Pittsfield Police, a warrant was also issued for Sherman on Nov. 26, allegedly connecting him to a burglary in that town in August 2012, after his fingerprints matched in the system, according to a court affidavit.
