Concord Police Log: Teens Arrested on Drug Charges

Plus, woman in jail charged with stealing beer; Goffstown, Manchester, Nashua residents receive summonses.

Patrice I. Nduwimana, 25, of Loudon Road in Concord, was arrested at 1:45 a.m. on Oct. 11, on two charges of driving while intoxicated. An officer saw a vehicle perform an illegal U-turn on North Main Street in front of the clock tower in Eagle Square. The officer pulled the Honda Civic over and when approaching the vehicle, “was overwhelmed by the odor of an alcoholic beverage from inside of the vehicle.” Nduwimana allegedly had extremely red, glassy eyes. He agreed to a field sobriety test and was arrested.

Kelly Lynn Lynn Butler, 48, of Sheep Davis Road in Pembroke, was arrested at noon on Oct. 11, on a felony theft charge from Aug. 9, at the Shell station on Sheep Davis Road in Concord. On Aug. 12, an officer was called to the station to the owner about a past tense theft. The storeowner reported a number of thefts from the store’s “beer cave” and suspected a regular customer named “Kelly” for the thefts. The owner viewed video surveillance and saw the woman allegedly conceal a number of beers in her purse. The owner gave the officer the woman’s address and also stated that he thought she had been arrested previously. The officer viewed the video and matched the woman to previous booking shots. According to a court affidavit, Butler was convicted of willful concealment twice in February 2012 in Concord and New London District Courts. The officer tried reaching Butler “several times” but she reportedly never returned the calls. The officer took out an arrest warrant on Sept. 4, and she was arrested while being held at the Merrimack County House of Corrections. She was also given a no trespass letter to the store.

Brian S. Demeritt, 46, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested on 4:45 p.m. on Oct. 11, on a felony receiving stolen property charge. An officer was dispatched to the Burlington Coat Factory on Storrs Street for two homeless people who appeared to be intoxicated causing problems in the store. One had allegedly urinated himself before leaving the store, according to the report. The officer found the men outside of the store. The officer interviewed a store employee who alleged that she thought earbuds and a Bluetooth speaker may have been stolen since she found empty boxes where the men were. After the discussion with the employee, the men were taken into protective custody and an officer allegedly found more than $185 worth of items in Demeritt’s backpack including clothes, hair trimmers, and the technology items.

Mario Lopez, 37, of Heartwood Lane in Concord, was arrested at 6:26 p.m. on Oct. 11, on a felony habitual offender charge after an incident at Irving Oil on Fisherville Road on Oct. 4. Lopez was arrested after police were sent to Heartwood Lane for a 911 hang up call and learned that there was a warrant for his arrest.

Michael R. Haynes, 33, of Shaker Road in Concord, was arrested at 9:28 p.m. on Oct. 11, on a default or breach of bail conditions charge on Oct. 7, in Eagle Square. According to a warrant, while on foot patrol an officer saw a few people hanging around the clock tower in Eagle Square. While walking, the officer ran into an employee from Merrimack County pre-trial services who alleged that one of the people – Haynes – was not supposed to be in contact with the woman he was sitting next to. The officer went to speak to Haynes and the woman who stated that the two were just taking the same bus to go to the WIC program on Sheep Davis Road. The woman stated that she would “take the fall” for the incident since he was waiting for the bus first and she didn’t want him to get into trouble. The officer contacted the court to check on the bail requirements and he was ordered to have no contact with the woman. The next day, the officer took out a warrant for Haynes’ arrest. On Oct. 11, Haynes was checked while at Cumberland Farms on North Main Street on another call and he was arrested.

Joseph Thomas Buros-Dandurand, 20, of Pinehurst Street in Concord, was arrested at 1:14 a.m. on Oct. 12, on possession of drugs and possession of controlled drugs charges. While on Fisherville Road, an officer saw a Lincoln town car drifting back and forth and nearly striking a sidewalk curb. The vehicle was pulled over on Duncraft and the officer alleged that there was an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. “I asked Joseph if there were any drugs in the vehicle,” the officer reported. “Joseph then paused, looking at me with a blank stare on his face.” As another officer arrived at the scene, Buros-Dandurand reportedly consented to a search and the officer allegedly found a metal grinder and a glass pipe with residue. He was then arrested.

Katy Jane Porter, 21, of Main Street in Boscawen, was arrested at 3:05 p.m. on Oct. 12, on a bail jumping charge from Sept. 8, at Concord District Court. She was arrested after a traffic stop outside the Buffalo Wild Wings on Loudon Road. Porter reportedly claimed that she didn’t miss her arraignment and was in attendance.

Ian Decato, 17, of Beech Hill Road in Andover, was arrested at 6:45 p.m. on Oct. 12, on a simple assault charge at the Steeplegate Mall on Loudon Road on May 10. State police arrested Decato and Concord Police picked him up in Boscawen.

Cynthia D. Saxon Hoffman, 50, of Rumford Street in Concord, was arrested at 7:17 p.m. on Oct. 12, on a criminal trespass charge. An officer was sent to 39 Thorndike Street for a woman who was yelling and banging on the door of a residence. Upon arrival, the officer heard a man yelling at the woman and telling her to get out of his apartment. She refused to leave, according to the officer. The officer asked the woman, Saxon Hoffman, to speak to him in the hallway. She allegedly refused, appeared intoxicated, and was yelling, so she was taken into custody and held without bail.

Andrew Mason, 20, of Mo-Sett Avenue in Goffstown, received a summons at 10:29 a.m. on Oct. 13, on a driving after revocation or suspension after a traffic stop outside of the CVS on Loudon Road after he reportedly made an illegal left hand turn. He lost his license on Feb. 20.

Kearsten Rae Simpson, 20, of Sheep Davis Road in Pembrok, received a summons at 7:52 p.m. on Oct. 13, on a driving after revocation or suspension after a traffic stop on Loudon Road, due to headlights not being illuminated. Her privileges were suspended for default court summons out of Hooksett District Court on Oct. 2.

Joel McGuire, 58, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 8:55 p.m. on Oct. 13, on a default or breach of bail conditions charge. He was arrested on the fifth level of the Capitol Commons Garage on Storrs Street after allegedly being found passed out in a stairwell. An officer allegedly found McGuire with an almost empty bottle of Bailey’s. A check of McGuire led to a breach of bail charge, since he was supposed to remain free of alcohol and drugs while on bail, according to the report. He was held without bail.

Jeremy Huntley, 25, of Alsace Street in Manchester, was arrested at 10:31 a.m. on Oct. 14, on driving after revocation or suspension and suspended registration charges after a traffic stop on the Exit 14 I-93 southbound ramp for an expired inspection sticker. The registration for the Hyundai Accent was suspended in February and he also received a summons on Sept. 24, so he was arrested.

Flavio Santos, 36, of Congress Street in Nashua, received a summons at 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 14, on an operating without a valid license charge after a crash in the Boloco parking lot on Fort Eddy Road.

Annie Washburn, 19, of Sewalls Falls Road in Concord was arrested 8:46 p.m. on Oct. 14, on a possession of controlled drugs charge. Also arrested was Shawn A. Lamb, 18, of Coral Street in Concord, on a transportation of drugs charge. While parked in the Community Bridges parking lot on Pembroke Road, an officer saw another vehicle drive to the northeastern part of the lot and shut its headlights off. The officer approached the vehicle and spoke with Lamb and Washburn. Lamb reportedly stated that he was letting out his dogs to relieve themselves. When asked why he shut the lights to the vehicle off while doing that, Lamb allegedly looked down and stopped making eye contact with the officer. The officer allegedly smelled marijuana and began speaking to Washburn, the female passenger in the vehicle, who was also allegedly hesitated to answer questions. Another officer arrived and Lamb reportedly consented to a search. An officer allegedly found a small container of marijuana near the front passenger seat and Washburn allegedly admitted that the marijuana was hers. They were both arrested.
