Erica Gilbert, 24, pictured, of Oak Crest Lane in Gilmanton, was arrested at 3:40 p.m. on July 25, 2015, on a felony possession of controlled drugs charge and a bench warrant. An officer on patrol on Pleasant Street saw a woman who appeared to be passed out in front of the Irving gas station slumped over. Since the weather was hot, the officer drove over to make sure she was OK. The woman, Gilbert, woke up and reportedly told the officer that she had been released from Concord Hospital earlier and was waiting for a ride. She stood up and was allegedly unsteady on her feet. A check yielded a bench warrant out of Laconia District Court for nonappearance in court from July 1, 2015, so she was arrested. During a search of a bag, the officer allegedly found five used hypodermic needles, a bottle cap, four spoons with residue, an Altoids case with numerous small baggies, and two strings in the form of a lasso. Gilbert allegedly admitted that the needles were used for methamphetamine, according to the report.

Officers were called to the Chi-Cha Hookah Bar Lounge on Pleasant Street Extension at around 12:45 a.m. for a noise complaint. While there, they learned that there was a fistfight reportedly happening on Main Street. When they went to the scene, they saw a Dodge Charger parked in the middle of the street with its doors open and a man running into the car. They ordered the man to stop but he reportedly got in the car and it sped away, almost hitting one of the officers. The officers put out information about the car, which had New York plates, and called for backup. They later found out that the car was a rental. Another officer spoke with others involved that alleged that one of the occupants of the car began calling out to the women and words were exchanged with all involved and a fight ensued. About an hour or so later, the vehicle was later located at the Comfort Inn on Hall Street and police went to the hotel and attempted to find the driver. The officers and a sergeant found the room and heard loud voices coming from inside. The room though went silent after officers knocked on the door. One man answered the door and later, requested EMTs for “an alcohol related injury,” according to the report. All of the occupants allegedly denied leaving the room. Officers saw numerous bottles in the room as well a strong odor of vomit. One of the officers recognized Barajas as the man who jumped into the vehicle and he was arrested. Another officer recognized Beacom, the driver, who was reportedly face down on the bed passed out. When officers woke him up, “Zach appeared to have no idea where he was or what was going on,” according to the report. “He had a confused look on his face.” Beacom was taken to the emergency room and later charged.
