Domestic Incident Allegedly Leads to Pot Plants on South Main: Log

Concord Police: Intoxicated pair arrested on under I-393 and a Manchester teen is arrested for willful concealment and criminal liability.

CONCORD, NH - Jennifer L. Forbes, 28, of Main Street in Manchester, was arrested at 1:39 p.m. on Feb. 18, 2016, for felony possession of controlled drugs and disorderly conduct. The charges stem from alleged incidents on Jan. 28, 2015, at South Main and Storrs streets. She was arrested by Manchester Police, refused bail, and was arraigned on Feb. 19.

Jay M. Pease, 28, of South Main Street in Concord, was arrested at 6:05 p.m. on Feb. 17, 2016, for felony manufacture of controlled drugs and possession of controlled drugs. Officers were sent to South Main Street for a report of things smashing and a woman screaming inside an apartment. When officers arrived, Pease reportedly answered the door and “quickly ran upstairs” and officers followed. “J. Pease ran into the bedroom and shut the door behind him,” the officer alleged. “Through an open door, Officer McNutt then observed what appear to be marijuana plants in the bedroom.” Pease reportedly came out of the room to speak with officers and the reporting officer alleged that there was a tent, fluorescent light tube, and marijuana plants emerging from the tent. Pease was immediately arrested. A search warrant was applied for and granted, and officers returned to the apartment and allegedly seized “a number of marijuana plants,” according to the report. Pease is due in court on April 4.

Joseph A. Cormier, 64, of Manchester Street in Concord, was arrested at 6:22 p.m. on Feb. 14, 2016, on a bench warrant. Officers were sent to Manchester Street for a check on the welfare call for an elderly man living in a manufactured home where a pipe had bust earlier in the day. Cormier reportedly answered the door and stated he had a space heater and was OK. The officer alleged that he was intoxicated and unsteady on his feet, according to the report. A check yielded an active warrant out of Laconia District Court from November 2013 for a violation of probation or parole, $283.58 cash bail. Concord Fire and Rescue teams were called to the home because Cormier reportedly was feeling “dizzy” and he was transported to Concord Hospital. He was later arrested and is due in court on March 28.

Jason-John M. Shaw, 20, a homeless man now located in Laconia, received a summons at 10:19 a.m. on Feb. 9, 2016, for operating without a valid license after a traffic stop on Loudon Road for a side brake light that was out. According to dispatch, Shaw didn’t have a license on file and was given a summons. He’s due in court on March 21.

Corey J. Miller, 23, of Alton Woods Drive in Concord, and Sonja Bret Barbara Mathewson, 18, of Walker Street in Manchester, were arrested at 4:28 p.m. on Feb. 4, 2016, for willful concealment and criminal liability for conduct of another from alleged incidents on Jan. 22, 2016, at Walmart on Loudon Road. Hooksett Police arrested both Miller and Mathewson. They are both due in court on March 14.

Jon P. Knowles, 36, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 1:14 p.m. on Feb. 4, 2016, for resisting arrest or detention. Also arrested was Desiree Kenyon, 20, a homeless woman now located in Concord, for criminal trespass and unlawful possession of alcohol. A sergeant and officers were sent to the I-393 overpass for a report of a man who might have fallen and had a head injury. When they arrived, they reportedly found Knowles, Kenyon, and another person who was allegedly “highly intoxicated,” fell down the rock slope, and hit his head. Knowles was also allegedly intoxicated and yelling obscenities at police. Officers tried to PC him but he reportedly resisted and was arrested. Kenyon reportedly was near the railroad tracks and appeared highly intoxicated, was slurring her speech, and had glossy eyes. The officer tried speaking with her and she allegedly, repeatedly, stated, “Just bring me to jail.” Both Knowles and Kenyon were held without bail.
