“Rios has an extensive criminal history involving violence, so the U.S. Marshals and law enforcement throughout the area put a lot effort into trying to find Mr. Rios,” White said. “The media played a large role in these efforts, by getting Rios’ pictures circulated throughout New England. It was because of the media that the tips continuously flowed into the Marshals Fugitive Task Force.”

The tips paid off, White noted, after Rios was seen leaving an address of a known associate on Amherst Street in Manchester at just before noon today.
“Rios got into a car and the task force closed in when the car stopped at a nearby store, where Mr. Rios was arrested without incident,” White stated.
“The partnerships between law enforcement, the public and the media are continually being strengthened,” said U.S. Marshal David L. Cargill Jr. “This is always evident, when time after time, tips lead to the arrest of these dangerous fugitives.”
