Dylan James Preneveau, 22, of Manchester was arrested at 11:37 a.m. on Nov. 10 on a felony second-degree assault charge. Around 12:15 p.m. on Oct. 3, officers were sent to the parking lot of the Walmart on Loudon Road for a report of two men fighting. One officer spoke with a victim while a sergeant and officers searched for the other man. The man had bruising and swelling on his face and a bump in the back of his head. He was hit about six or seven times. Later, he became dizzy and began vomiting but refused transportation to the hospital. Witness statements were also taken. The suspect, Preneveau, was accused of admitting to punching the other man. “Dylan said he did not know (the victim) but that he felt disrespected by him by the words they exchanged in the parking lot,” an affidavit said. Both men said the issue concerned a parking space, the officer wrote. The victim was accused of yelling profanities and calling a woman with Preneveau a derogatory term. He looked at her in an “aggressive manner,” too, according to the report. The officer viewed security footage from the store, saw an exchange of words (without sound), and then “observed Dylan punching (the victim),” an affidavit stated. The officer spoke to the victim on Oct. 10 and found out he had a crack in his cheekbone that required surgery to repair the fracture. An affidavit was issued against Preneveau and he was arrested later. According to superior court records, a second second-degree assault charge was added to his docket. He was arraigned on Dec. 2.
