Gun Road Rage Incident Leads To Felony Charge: State Police

CONCORD, NH — A Massachusetts man was arrested on another drunken driving arrest after a stop on the side of the Interstate to urinate led to charges Saturday. At just before 8:30 p.m., troopers on Interstate 93 South in Canterbury encountered a man attempting to relieve himself on the side of the road. The man saw the troopers and attempted to drive away but, instead, stopped and spoke to the troopers, according to a report.

"(An) investigation revealed that the subject was driving while intoxicated and was placed under arrest," said Sgt. Vincent Grieco of Troop D. "It was also discovered the subject was in possession of an open container."

During processing, the man "provided a false name to troopers and refused to identify himself," but troopers were later able to find out that his name was Vincent McDermottroe, 49, of Woburn, Massachusetts.

McDermottroe was charged with DUI-subsequent, operating after suspension-subsequent, and disobeying a police officer charges as well as an open container violation.

Dorchester Man Picked Up On Road Rage Charge

A Dorchester man accused of flashing a firearm during a road rage incident was arrested Friday in Concord.

State troopers received a report around 2:15 p.m. about a driving in a black Volvo "operating aggressively" while not letting another vehicle pass. When the driver eventually passed, the driver of the Volvo "brandished a firearm," according to Sgt. Daniel Baldassarre of Troop D. The victim followed the vehicle until troopers intercepted it on I-93 in Concord.

Baldassarre said after an investigation, which led to "a firearm found on the operator," Jeffrey Hallock Saucier, 29, was arrested on a felony reckless conduct charge. Saucier was released on bail and is due in Merrimack County Superior Court on Feb. 13 for arraignment.

Maine Man Arrested Again For DWI

A man from Lebanon, Maine, was arrested Thursday after a crash on the General Sullivan Bridge on the Spaulding Turnpike in Newington.

State police were sent to the bridge for a report of a Ford F-150 pickup truck striking a guardrail on the right side of the road, careening across the highway, and then, hitting a guardrail on the left side of the highway.

The driver, Daniel St. Clair, 34, was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with injuries. He was arrested later on DWI-subsequent and operating after suspension charges and is due in Portsmouth District Court on March 30.

The northbound lanes of the Spaulding Turnpike were closed for around 45 minutes. Assisting state police were Newington police and firefighters.
