Man Uses TV Remote to Allegedly Assault Roommate: Log

Concord Police: California man arrested for DWI, man allegedly smashes picture, and Pembroke woman arrested for liquor theft 18 months ago.

CONCORD, NH — Brenda J. Tarvin, 60, of Nadine Road in Pembroke, was arrested on Feb. 13, on two counts of theft from alleged incidents at the New Hampshire Liquor and Wine Outlet on Storrs Street on Sept. 26, 2014. She’s due in court on March 28.

Brandi E. Robie, 30, of Moses Avenue in Hill, was arrested at 1:45 p.m. on Feb. 12, for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer from the Circle K/Irving on Loudon Road on Feb. 9. She is due in court on March 28.

Edward D. Allen, 34, of Havenhurst Drive in West Hollywood, CA, was arrested on Feb. 8, 2016, on two counts of driving while intoxicated, light violation, and improper turning, after a traffic stop on South Main Street for driving through a red light. The driver, Allen, allegedly denied drinking but smelled like alcohol. He was given a field sobriety test and then arrested. He was arraigned on Feb. 29.

Martha J. Sartwell, 50, of Penacook Street in Concord, was arrested on Feb. 6, 2016, for criminal mischief. Officers were sent to South State Street for a report of an unwanted guest that reportedly damaged a door and had since left the scene in a Cadillac. The first officer saw the Cadillac and approached the vehicle to speak with the driver, Sartwell. “When I approached the vehicle, the lady instantly said, ‘I’m sorry, I acted crazy back there,’” according to the report. She allegedly told the officer that she had been at the apartment and had pounded on the door in an attempt to make her ex- open the door but he refused so she left. She then returned and allegedly kicked the door, she reportedly stated. A neighbor opened the door and reportedly grabbed her hair and hit her multiple times. She refused medical attention, according to the report. The officer then went to speak to the complainant and examined the damage to the door and frame. The neighbor alleged that Sartwell attacked her but she refused to press charges. Sartwell was arrested and arraigned on Feb. 8.

Katie R. Johnson, 35, of Branch Turnpike in Concord, was arrested on Feb. 5, 2016, for driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, and driving while intoxicated-second offense after a traffic stop at around 1:30 a.m. on Pembroke Road for speeding (53 mph in a 30 zone). She agreed to a field sobriety test and was later arrested. According to the report, she was convicted in May 2010 in Concord District Court. Johnson was arraigned on Feb. 29.

Lisa M. Ladd, 35, of Cherry Street in Concord, was arrested on Feb. 4, 2016, for felony reckless conduct; place another in danger from an alleged incident on Jan. 23, on Cherry Street. She was arraigned on March 14.

John L. Taylor, 23, of Hopkinton Road in Concord, was arrested on Feb. 3, 2016, for driving after revocation or suspension and suspended registration after a traffic stop on Manchester Street after an officer ran a plate on a Toyota Tercel and it came back with a suspended registration. Taylor reportedly told the officer that he forgot to pay a ticket. His license was suspended on Jan. 28, for default court summons. He was also previously convicted of driving after revocation in June 2013. He was arraigned on March 14.

Kendrick H. Waddell, 44, of Fayette Street in Concord, was arrested on Feb. 2, 2016, for simple assault and domestic violence-simple assault. Officers were sent to an apartment for a report of a dispute. Waddell and another man were reportedly intoxicated and had been arguing. Waddell allegedly admitted to hitting the other man in the mouth with the television remote control and he was arrested. He was arraigned the next day.

Michael J. Willey, 32, of Pavilion Drive in Penacook, was arrested on Feb. 1, 2016, for criminal mischief. Officers were sent to the home at around 9 p.m. for a domestic between a couple. After an argument, he reportedly left and then returned, and they continued to argue and yell. She alleged that Willey threw mutual property on the floor and one item – a picture frame – broke. The officers also spoke to witnesses in the home. They also spoke to Willey and he allegedly admitted to breaking the picture frame and was arrested. He was arraigned the next day.
