According to state police, 65 motor vehicles were stopped for speeding this morning.
“Three of those vehicles were traveling over 90 MPH,” according to Sgt. Victor Muzzey of the NHSP. “Additionally, three separate operators were also cited for an inspection violation, operating after suspension/revocation and use of mobile electronic device while driving.”
Muzzey added that that the NH State Police Special Enforcement Unit regularly interdicts elevated speed violations and other aggressive driving behaviors.
“Its members patrol across the state often utilizing the State Police aircraft during commuter traffic periods and holiday travel times with the goal of keeping New Hampshire’s roadways safe for all residents and visitors,” he stated.
New Hampshire State Police will also be holding a sobriety checkpoint in the New Hampton area sometime between June 12, and June 19; another sobriety checkpoint will be staged by NHSP later this month in the Bedford area.
