Detectives arrested the women after investigating an incident that reportedly occurred back in September 2016 on Elmwood Avenue, according to Lt. Sean Ford of the Concord Police Department. At the time, Farruggia was pregnant and in full labor, about to give birth to a baby boy. Due to “medical concerns,” Ford noted, residents of the home were in the process of calling 911 to aid Farruggia.

“Farruggia reportedly requested Frenette give her narcotics (heroin/methamphetamine) and refused to allow residents to call 911 until she received the narcotics,” Ford stated. “Frenette complied with the Farruggia’s request and injected her (Farruggia) with a narcotic drug. Frenette attempted to inject Farruggia with an unsanitary syringe at least once before she successfully delivered a dose of the drug.”
Concord Fire and Rescue teams arrived at the scene, carried Farruggia from the home, but while entering the ambulance, she reportedly gave birth to the boy. Both Farruggia and the child were taken to the hospital where they were under care for several days.

“The baby was ultimately taken into the State’s custody where he remains at this time,” Ford said.
Detectives investigated the incident and Frenette and Farruggia were arrested this week, according to the statement.
Frenette, according to posts on Patch, has been arrested a number of times during the past few years, including back in June 2014, while living in Pittsfield, when she was reportedly involved in a organized retail crime enterprise and other alleged theft incidents, allegedly scamming Walmart out of hundreds of dollars worth of items. She was charged for a second time later that month and served with the warrant at the Women's State Prison in Goffstown, according to reports at the time. In August 2016, while living on South Main Street in Concord, she was arrested in Bow on warrants as well as an improper person operating a motor vehicle charge. Also, in June 2012, she was arrested on a burglary charge after an alleged incident in Tilton, according to the Salmon Press.
Farruggia was also arrested a couple of times in Concord in 2011. She was arrested, while a resident of Laconia, on a bail jumping charge and warrant in August of that year. She was arrested again in October 2011 for bail jumping. Farruggia was arrested outside of the Merrimack County Superior Court at the time.
