The officer spoke with a prison supervisor who said the woman, Gianotti, “almost fell out of her chair” and said the juvenile told him she “appeared more drunk than usual,” an affidavit stated. The officer spoke with Gianotti and accused her of slurring her words and appearing to be under the influence of “a foreign substance” while also admitting to taking “multiple medications,” the report said. Gianotti was offered the chance to contact a sober party and was later accused of struggling to use her phone for basic functions, dropping her license a few times, and having difficulty picking it up and keeping balance. “I observed her eyes roll into the back of her head,” the officer said. Gianotti was arrested, and during a pat down, a note was found with a Suboxone strip inside a plastic bag wrapped in the note, the affidavit said.
