Massachusetts Trucker’s Wrong Way Driving Caught On Camera In NH: State Police Roundup

CONCORD, NH — A commercial truck driver from the Bay State faces several charges after being accused of wrong-way driving on Route 16 in Wakefield.
According to Tyler Dumont, the public information officer for state police, on Dec. 3, state police received a report of a trucker who was accused of recklessly driving on the highway. Another truck’s in-vehicle digital camera recorded the incident.
The make of the truck was a 2014 Freightliner hauling a dumpster. And the video showed the driver crossing the double solid yellow line into oncoming traffic to pass another vehicle, he said.

Dumont said investigators tracked down the driver, Steven MacDonald, 66, of Pepperell, Massachusetts, and arrested him on Dec. 11 on reckless driving and speeding charges as well as highway markings and limitations on overtaking on the left violations. He was released on personal recognizance and is due in Ossipee District Court on Jan. 29, 2025.

Wrong-Way Driver On Route 101
An elderly Danville man was arrested on Wednesday night for driving on Route 101 the wrong way.
Around 11 p.m., state police received a report about a driver in a car traveling east in the westbound lane in Auburn. Troopers, Dumont said, worked with local police to slow traffic along the highway to find the driver.
The sedan was found in Raymond and police were able to stop the car.
Albert Weigert, 68, of Danville, was arrested on negligent driving and wrong-way operation charges. He is due in Candia District Court on March 15, 2025. Weigert was taken to Elliott Hospital for a medical evaluation and then released on personal recognizance.

Sebastyan S. Khan, 25, of Manchester, was arrested at 11:21 p.m. on No. 30 on a driving after revocation or suspension charge and driving without giving proof and suspension of vehicle registration violations in Concord.
Widman Reyaldo Nolasco Yoc, 21, of Manchester, was arrested on a bench warrant at 7:51 a.m. on Nov. 30 on a driving after revocation or suspension charge in Concord.
Kayden Thomas Eames, 18, of Franklin, was arrested at 1:30 a.m. on an unlawful possession-intoxication charge. Joshua Logan Dashnaw, 20, of Concord, was also arrested for unlawful possession-intoxication. They were charged in Concord.
