RI, Mass. Residents Bagged For DUI On The NH Seacoast

NHSP, Hampton, and Seabrook Police sobriety checkpoint on Route 1A nets five including Coventry, Ipswich, Haverhill, and Lowell residents.

SEABROOK, NH — A Seacoast sobriety checkpoint on Route 1A which began on July 28, 2017, and ran through this morning led to the arrest of five people, including four on driving under the influence charges. Arrested were: Jennifer L. Hogan, 36, of Lowell, MA, for DUI-drugs; Kelly Charest, 54, of Haverhill, MA, operating after suspension-subsequent; Luke McCartney, 26, of Haverhill, MA, for DUI; Kyle Harris, 35, Coventry, RI, for DUI; and Andrew Coulombe, 26, of Ipswich, MA, for DUI-drugs. Everyone charged is due in Seabrook District Court on Aug. 10, according to Lt. John R. Hennessey of the NHSP Troop A. The sobriety checkpoint was put together by state police and implemented with the help of Hampton and Seabrook Police as well as the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office. It was approved by the Rockingham County Superior Court. According to Hennessey, 584 vehicles were stopped and screened during the checkpoint.
