Another Nashua Operation Granite Shield Sweep Leads To 12 Arrests

Police, as well as Hillsborough County Sheriffs Department employees, round up residents of 2 states on drug and other charges.

NASHUA, NH — A dozen people from New Hampshire and Massachusetts were arrested during the latest Nashua Operation Granite Shield sweep.

During the week of Jan. 16, police in Nashua — with some help from Hudson and Windham police and employees at the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department, arrested 12 people on various charges.

The charges involved drug crimes, according to Det. Sgt. Andrew Roy of the narcotics intelligence division with the Nashua Police Department, and “crimes frequently associated with criminal behavior related to drug activity and other criminal offenses.”

Six of the arrests were residents of Nashua.

Courtney Lavalle, 24, of no fixed address, was arrested on robbery and acts prohibited: possession of heroin-fentanyl with intent to distribute charges, both felonies, as well as a breach of bail charge. Lavalle also had two electronic bench warrants for nonappearance in court.

Philip Smith, 31, of no fixed address, was arrested on an electronic bench warrant for nonappearance in court.

Ricky Caylor, 54, of Ash Street, was arrested on a capias warrant.

Danielle Evans, 29, of no fixed address, was arrested on a criminal trespass charge and two electronic bench warrants for nonappearance in court.

Deborah Visken, 69, of Temple Street, was also arrested on a capias warrant.

Natasha Jackson, 32, of no fixed address, was arrested on an electronic bench warrant for nonappearance in court and a capias warrant.

Three people from Hudson were also arrested.

Shawnda Tuff, 25, of Windham Road, was charged with driving after suspension or revocation, disobeying an officer, and driving a vehicle with suspended registrations.

Ashley Lavoie, 28, of Burnshill Road, was arrested on a theft by unauthorized taking or transfer charge.

Sean Dandley, 29, of Central Street, was arrested on three counts of acts prohibited: possession of a controlled drug, methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and psilocybin mushrooms, and a single count of falsifying physical evidence, all felonies, and a capias warrant.

Two Massachusetts residents were also arrested — James Clement, 40, of Phyllis Avenue in Burlington, MA, was arrested on a felony acts prohibited: possession of fentanyl-heroin charge, and Isaiah Castillo, 21, of Cornish Street in Lawrence, MA, was arrested on a felony count of possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute as well as disobeying an officer and operating without a valid license.

One other New Hampshire man, Robert Johansen, 39, of Ramble Wood Circle in Newbury, was arrested on disobeying an officer and driving after revocation or suspension charges.

Castillo, who was arrested by Windham police, was held pending a future arraignment in Rockingham County Superior Court.

Dandley and Jackson were also held. They will be arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court South at a future date.

Caylor, Clement, Lavalle, and Visken were released and will be arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court South at a future date.

Evans, Johansen, Lavoie, Smith, and Tuff were released and will be arraigned in Nashua District Court at a future date.
