Man Beats Up Nashua Woman, Sets Fire to Her Apartment, Police Say
Arthur Perrault, 52, of Litchfield, was arrested Sunday.

Police said a Litchfield man assaulted a woman then set fire to her Nashua apartment building Sunday, forcing 10 residents to flee for their lives.
Arthur Perrault, 52, was charged with a host of crimes.
Police said earlier Sunday, they were called for a report that Perrault assaulted a woman known to him on Temple Place. An officer said he saw Perrault drive away. Perreault then drove to 30 Canal St. and set fire to her apartment, police said. Ten people fled the blaze; one was treated for smoke inhalation.

Perrault was charged with:
- Arson (2 counts)
- Assault
- Domestic violence
- Disobeying an officer
- Conduct after an accident
