Nashua Man Indicted On Homeless Camp Shooting Charges: Court Roundup

NASHUA, NH — A Hillsborough County grand jury indicted the following people recently.

Ian Sherman, 35, of no fixed address in Nashua on two felony counts of possession of a controlled drug-subsequent-fentanyl on Aug. 8 and Oct. 3, 2023, in Nashua. Previously, he was convicted on an acts prohibited charge in Hillsborough County in October 2021.

Patrick Shiflett, 38, of no fixed address in Nashua on a felony controlled drug act; acts prohibited-fentanyl charge on Aug. 23, 2023, in Nashua.

Ashley Silva, 37, of no fixed address in Nashua on a felony controlled drug act; acts prohibited-cocaine charge on April 28, 2023, in Nashua.

John Smith, 31, of Chase Street in Nashua on criminal threatening, falsifying physical evidence, and three reckless conduct charges, all felonies. He was accused of firing a gun into the ground next to a woman outside a compact housing area in Nashua on Oct. 4, 2023, threatening the woman, and destroying video footage of the incident to impair an investigation. Paul St. Pierre, 46, of Mudgett Avenue in Meredith on theft by unauthorized taking and criminal mischief charges, both felonies. He was accused of stealing tools and damaging drywall and flooring at a home on Andres Avenue in Hudson on Oct. 28, 2022.

Stephen Stuart, 50, of Auburn Street in Nashua on a felony second-degree assault charge. He was accused of strangling a woman on Aug. 14, 2023, in Nashua.

Kyle Barka, 31, of Bowers Street in Nashua on a felony controlled drug act; acts prohibited-cocaine on Oct. 25, 2023, in Nashua. He was previously convicted of acts prohibited in Hillsborough County in February 2021.

Shawn Burns, 38, of Broad Street in Nashua on a felony controlled drug act; acts prohibited-crack cocaine charge on Aug. 8, 2023, in Merrimack.

Roger Bernier, 58, of Manchester Street in Manchester on two felony theft by deception charges. He was accused of charging a Merrimack customer for a roof protection warranty when the warranty was covered and not at an additional cost on Jan. 23, 2020. Bernier was also accused of taking money to install a new antenna on the roof of a Merrimack home on Aug. 30, 2020, and then failing to do the work.
