Firefighters Put Out Fire in Springs Home
The firefighters found that the alarm went off but the resident remained sleeping in the house.

A fire broke out at a Briarcroft Drive residence in Springs after the resident fell alseep on Tuesday morning, according to The East Hampton Star.
Springs Fire Department Firefighters responded to the fire when the alarm went off at about 7:15 a.m., The East Hampton Star reports.

Firefighters found the door locked and saw smoke and a person sleeping on the couch from the window, according to The East Hampton Star.
The firefighters put out the fire, and no injuries were reported.

It seems that the fire was caused by cigarette which set fire to a plastic garbage can, according to The East Hampton Star.
