CLASSROOM 4M — Phoebe Rothschild won a written debate competition held by Time for Kids, and her essay will be published in the Dec. 16 issue of the magazine, which is the student edition of Time.
COLONIAL GYM — Students surveyed about whether they liked Chartwells or Lunch with Lou, the previous meal provider, voted 131 in favor of Lunch with Lou and one for Chartwells.
Star Fox 64 3D for the Nintendo 3DS is about a villain called Andross and you are a fox called Fox McCloud. Your dad, James McCloud, died (wink wink) because of Andross. The game is awesome.

MT. VERNON — Kids from ages four to seven are learning how to play hockey at the Ice Hutch on Sunday mornings 11:20 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. The program started on Nov. 20.
HUTCHINSON GYM — The time of year has come to start buying great gifts for the holidays.
STREETS OF PELHAM — Students collected $877.28 trick or treating for UNICEF on Halloween. That was more than the Student Government hoped to bring in.

LARCHMONT — On Dec. 6, everyone can buy pizzas at Homemade Pizza Co. and help our school. At Homemade Pizza, you buy frozen pizzas with the toppings of your choice and cook them at home.
COLONIAL SCHOOL — Thirty-two school administrators from China visited here on Nov. 16 to see what kids in America learn.
NEW ROCHELLE — The Colonial chess team dominated on Nov. 29 at the Ward Fall Scholastic Tournament at the William Ward Elementary School.

BRONX EQUESTRIAN CENTER — Girl Scouts in Troop 1666 went on a trip here to ride horses. The girls each got to ride their own horse on a trail ride that took about an hour.

COLONIAL GYM — Illustrator James Dean and author Eric Litwin talked about their children’s book series, “Pete the Cat,” on Nov. 9.
This Rick Riordan book, ”The Lost Hero,” will be a new favorite for those who like the Percy Jackson books. This story is about Jason, a Roman demigod who gets switched into a Greek demigod camp.
HUTCHINSON SCHOOL — The bus came Oct. 31 and Hutchinson stuffed it. Students donated pajamas and books for children in need as part of the Stuff the Bus program.
