
A Bethpage man brought a loaded handgun into a Levittown bar Friday night, according to Nassau County Police.
At 11:38 p.m., officers responded to Finish Line Bar on Wantagh Avenue after a report of a suspicious man sitting at the bar with a gun, cops said.
When they arrived, responding officers found Thomas Bertschi, 44, sitting at the bar, police said. As Bertschi rose from his seat, a loaded handgun fell from his coat pocket onto the floor, police said.

Cops confiscated the weapon and took Bertschi into custody. He was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and will be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.
