• No injuries, but home completely destroyed in Aydlett fire (outerbanksvoice.com) — Fire crews from Lower Currituck, Crawford Township, and several beach towns, including the Kitty Hawk Fire Department, battled a devastating house fire on Bunch Road in Aydlett. The home was completely destroyed, but no one was injured; two residents and their pet were displaced as investigators work to determine the cause.
