2 Strong Arm Robberies Reported In Hybla Valley Area
Police did not indicate that the incidents were related. In one of the incidents, the suspect reportedly fired a gun.

HYBLA VALLEY, VA—Two separate strong arm robberies on Friday, Jan. 18 are under investigation in the Hybla Valley area, according to Fairfax County Police.
The first incident happened around 4:30 p.m. at Janna Lee Avenue and Tamarind Street. The victim told police a man approached with a weapon and demanded money. The suspect searched the victim's pockets and found an empty wallet. After finding nothing, the suspect fled. He is described as a light-skinned man wearing a full-face mask and a red-hooded sweatshirt.
The next incident was reported at 6:19 p.m. in the 8000 block of Fordson Road. Police say the victim was talking with someone outside his house when the man approached from behind. The suspect put a gun to his back and demanded money. When the victim said he didn't have money, the suspect shot a round near the victim's foot and fled.

No injuries were reported from the encounter. This suspect is described as a black man, wearing a red coat, jeans and a black ski mask.
