Balcony Fire Extinguished Without Injuries In Mount Vernon

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue units put out a fire at an apartment early Monday.

MOUNT VERNON, VA — No one was injured when a fire broke out early Monday in Mount Vernon, according to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue.

Units responded to an apartment in the 5800 block of Woodlawn Green Court around 3:05 a.m. and found smoke showing. The fire was located on the balcony and quickly put out. There was no extension into the apartment.

The cause of the fire was not immediately identified.
