Cab Driver Robbed at Gunpoint on S. Kings Highway

Incident took place in broad daylight Sunday, when two teens got into the cab in Fairfax City and asked to be driven to the area.

A cabdriver was robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight Sunday afternoon by two teenagers just off of South Kings Highway, according to Fairfax County Police.

Police say the cabdriver was driving two teens Sunday from Fairfax City to the area. When they arrived on Brick Heath Court, just off of South Kings Highway, one of the teens pulled a gun on the driver and demanded cash, according to police.

The driver gave the gunman the cash and the two teens got out of the cab and ran, according to police. The driver did not require any sort of medical help, according to police.

Officers, a police helicopter and K9 responded to the scene at about 4:14 p.m. to search for the suspects, police said. The suspects were not found and detectives have taken over the case.

The suspects are described by police as being between the ages of 15 to 18; police said one teen is black and the other is white.
