Gun Shot During Early Morning Robbery in Hybla Valley: Police

Two suspects robbed a victim early Friday morning; a suspect shot in the direction of the victim, but the victim wasn't hit, police said.

Fairfax County Police report that a gun went off during an early-morning robbery last Friday in Hybla Valley.

The incident took place in the 2600 block of Arlington Drive, Friday when police were called at 2:11 a.m.

The victim was walking and was approached from behind by two men, police said. One of the suspects displayed a handgun and demanded money, according to police.

The suspects took property and began to flee, police noted. The victim yelled out for help and the suspect with the handgun discharged one round in the direction of the victim, according to FCPD.

The round did not hit the victim and the victim did not require medical attention, police said. The suspect with the handgun was described as black, about 6 feet 2 inches tall, approximately 200 pounds, wearing a black shirt and black pants, according to police. The second suspect was described as black, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, approximately 150 pounds, and wearing a white shirt and blue pants.
