Man Arrested, Smoking Marijuana in Apartment Fitness Center: Police
Police also said the man was wearing a mask and disarmed an officer's Taser.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fairfax County Police arrived to the 2700 block of Arlington Drive (see map below) Thursday at about 5:37 p.m. for reports of a man smoking marijuana in an apartment fitness center, according to a police report.
Two officers responded to investigate the call for a man, later identified as Richard Leonard Brooks, III, 31, of Alexandria, smoking marijuana in the apartment fitness center. The officers found Brooks sitting inside the room and approached him.
He allegedly refused to obey commands and actively resisted the officers’ attempt to detain him, police said. Brooks disarmed one officer’s conductive energy weapon (CEW) but was quickly subdued, according to police.

Brooks was arrested and charged with drunk in public, resisting arrest, wear mask to conceal identity, and disarming a law enforcement officer, police said. Additional charges pending further investigation.
