Man Charged For Burglaries In Mount Vernon District

Police have located items stolen during the series of home burglaries.

Police have charged a person in relation to the string of residential burglaries in the Mount Vernon Police District.

Davian Reyes-Reyes, 18, of Alexandria, was arrested Thursday and charged with two counts of burglary, one count of grand larceny, one count of petit larceny, and one count of destruction of property. Additional charges are expected. He is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center without bond.

Detectives found property stolen during the burglaries in Reyes-Reyes' home and a nearby location. The items will be returned to the victims of the burglaries.

Detectives received reports of at least 18 burglaries since early November in the Jefferson Manor and Bucknell Manor neighborhoods. The burglaries generally occurred during the afternoon and evening.
