Man Hospitalized After Assault In Greater Alexandria Area
A man was hospitalized after being attacked from behind during the day in Hybla Valley.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—A 41-year-old man was hospitalized after an assault in the Hybla Valley area Sunday, police say.
Around 2:15 p.m., the victim was walking at the 7900 block of Richmond Highway when when he was attacked from behind and knocked to the ground. After a struggle, the unknown suspect fled. The victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim says the unknown suspect had a pocket knife and attempted to steal money. The suspect was described as black and wore a black bandana and head phones.

INDECENT EXPOSURE: Pole Road/Shadwell Drive. 7/7/17, around 7:15 p.m. A man was seen exposing and touching himself inappropriately. He was described as black, around 50 years old, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and 250 pounds.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY/UNLAWFUL ENTRY/TRESPASSING/ARREST: 3400 block of Lockheed Boulevard (Hybla Valley Elementary School). 7/8/17 around 7:15 p.m.Officers responded for a possible burglary after a group of teenagers was found on school property. Two ran from school security, but were found nearby. Petitions are pending for destruction of property, unlawful entry and trespassing.
