Man Robbed on Christmas Eve Near Mt. Comfort Cemetery

Police say he was approached from behind by a man who assaulted him, took property and fled.

A man walking near Mt. Comfort Cemetery was assaulted and robbed on Christmas Eve, according to Fairfax County Police.

The assault and robbery took place in the 3500 block of Memorial Street, near Mt. Comfort Cemetery on Wednesday at about 9:35 p.m.

The victim was walking when he was approached from behind by a man. The suspect assaulted the victim, took property and fled, according to police. Police did not say what was stolen.

The victim received non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was described as black, about 6 feet tall.
