Man Robbed at Gunpoint + Knifepoint While Sitting in Car: Police

Incident took place Monday just after midnight in Hybla Valley area (see map below).

Fairfax County Police report that a man was robbed at gunpoint and knifepoint while sitting in his car just after midnight Monday in the Hybla Valley area.

The man, 53, was sitting in his car in the 3600 block of Robert E. Lee Place Monday at 12:15 a.m., when he was approached by two men; one displayed a handgun, the other a knife, police said.

The suspects threatened the victim and demanded money, police said. The victim handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and was not injured. The suspects fled on foot toward Richmond Highway.

A K9 team and the police helicopter assisted in the search, but the suspects were not located.

Police offered the following description of the suspects: Both suspects were described as being black, in their mid-20s. They were both about 5 feet 5 inches tall and 120 to 160 pounds. They were both wearing all black clothing.
