WTOP reported that Metro workers forgot to remove the block that kept the car in place at the repair shop. When it left repairs, the car rolled over the block and and the wheels on one car derailed, Metro spokesman Dan Stessel told WTOP. The other cars did not derail.
The derailment resulted in minor damages, and the track will be back in service after repairs. Other tracks at the repair shop are still in service, Stessel said.
