People Using ATM Robbed In Groveton Area: Police
Police say women using the ATM were robbed in two different cases last weekend.
GROVETON, VA—People using the ATM were robbed in two different incidents over the weekend on Richmond Highway, according to Fairfax County Police.
Both robberies happened at the Wells Fargo, 6300 Richmond Highway. The first incident was reported at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 2. A woman was at the ATM to deposit money when a man grabbed the money from her pocket. The suspect got in a gray SUV and drove away. The suspect was described as black, in his 30s, skinny and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
The second incident happened around 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, March 3. A woman was at the ATM to withdraw money when a man grabbed her and demanded the money. The woman was able to escape in her car. The man is described as black, 20-25 years old, 6 foot 3 with a skinny build and wearing all dark clothing.
