Person Stabbed At Mount Vernon Bus Stop: Police

Police say the person arrested is known to the victim.

MOUNT VERNON, VA — Fairfax County Police made an arrest after a stabbing at a bus stop in Mount Vernon Friday, Nov. 1. The victim and suspect know each other.

The stabbing happened around 10 a.m. in the 8300 block of Richmond Highway. The victim was standing at the sub stop when a person allegedly stabbed him. The victim's injuries were non-life-threatening.

Officers searched the area and located the suspect, identified as Richard Davis, 52, of Alexandria. He was charged with malicious wounding.

Commercial Robbery: 2405 Fairhaven Avenue (7-Eleven), 11/1/19, 10:54 p.m. The suspect entered the store with a handgun and demanded money. The suspect ran from the store and was described as a black male, 5’5 – 5’8, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a backpack.

Bullet in Occupied Dwelling: 7900 block of Janna Lee Avenue, 11/2/19, 4 a.m. A homeowner heard a strange noise overnight. In the morning, the homeowner found a bullet on the floor and contacted police.
