Police Chase Nets Wanted Man In Greater Alexandria
A man wanted by Alexandria Police nearly got away by fleeing down Route 1 in Fairfax County.

HUNTINGTON, VA—A police chase through Fairfax County Tuesday escalated into the arrest of a man already wanted in the City of Alexandria.
Around 5 p.m., a Fairfax County officer on Interstate 95 observed a car driving on the shoulder and attempted to pull it over. The driver did not cooperate and fled on Richmond Highway (U.S. Route 1).
A police chase began, and a short time later the driver pulled over. When police took Allen Wilson, 27, into custody, they found he was wanted on warrants from Alexandria Police.

Alexandria Police arrived on scene and and arrested the suspect. He faces charges of trespassing, obstruction of justice, and driving on a suspended license. Fairfax County Police charged him with with speed to elude and driving on a suspended license.
