Police Investigate Arson, Graffiti, Damaged Vehicles in Hybla Valley

Police said that a small fire was set and several vehicles were damaged on Woodpecker Drive (see map below).

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fairfax County Police are investigating a case of arson and graffiti that took place in the overnight hours Wednesday in the 7900 block of Woodpecker Drive, according to police.

Patrol responded Wednesday at 3:30 a.m. to a report of a vehicle tampering. While there, it was determined that more vehicles were damaged and graffiti found at the scene, police said.

Another victim approached police and reported that a small fire was set and quickly extinguished around the same time, according to police. Fairfax County Fire Marshals responded and through a collaborative effort and a joint investigation, a suspect was identified. Police did not identify the suspect; they said they are continuing to investigate the incident.
