Police Investigate Middle-of-the-Night Break-In at Market

Officers said cigarettes and phone cards were missing; footprints in the snow led to Richmond Highway.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fairfax County Police responded to an alarm early Sunday in the 6200 block of Richmond Highway (see map below).

Police said that at about 2:43 a.m., officers responded to an alarm at the Central Supermarket. When they arrived, they noticed that the glass in the front door was broken and there were footprints in the snow, leading toward Richmond Highway.

A K9 team was summoned and officers checked the interior of the business, but no one was found, according to FCPD. Cigarettes and phone cards were taken.
